PSA: Workflow Approvals & SQL-based Status Changes


 When an EAM status is changed using SQL and an approval workflow exists for it, EAM will NOT automatically create the approval event.  

 

To generate the approval event, we need to call the native EAM procedure O7SETWORKFLOW right after the status change SQL statement. 

 

This is a key consideration if you’re looking to implement Approval Workflows and any of your processes rely on automatic status changes which are carried out by Flex Business Rules, Alert Management, or other SQL-based configurations.

Global Dataspy



Did you know it is now possible to set up a global dataspy that is only available for certain user groups?

 

This option is only available for new dataspies as they are created.


1. On any screen hit the edit button to open the dataspy screen and create a new dataspy or copy an existing dataspy.

2. Create the dataspy as you normally would by populating Filter, Sort and Layout options.

3 . At the bottom of the screen check the Global Group Datasy option which will then make the groups option available.

Select the appropriate groups who should have access to global dataspy. If you don’t choose a group before saving the dataspy this option will not be able to update once saved.

Save the dataspy.
