With the release of HxGN EAM version 12.1.1, mass communication with your users just got easier!
The new Bulletin Setup screen allows you to display a pop-up notification to your users the moment they log into EAM. It’s a convenient way to quickly inform users about upcoming downtime, current issues, or new changes to the application!
How does it work?
On the Bulletin Setup screen, you'll specify the following information:
Description
Start & End Dates - Dates during which the notification will pop up for the users. Bulletins may be configured in advance of when they will actually be displayed.
Critical - If selected, users must acknowledge the bulletin by selecting the Acknowledge button on the bulletin notification (as opposed to cancelling out of the pop-up).
On the Bulletin Setup screen Message tab, you'll enter the message which will be displayed to your users.
On the Bulletin Setup screen Recipients tab, you'll select the User Groups and/or Users who will see the bulletin notification. To display the bulletin to all users, simply mass-select all User Groups as recipients.
On the Bulletin Setup screen Acknowledged tab, you may view the list of users who have acknowledged the bulletin notification.
Once the configuration is complete, you may activate the Bulletin Setup by changing the status from Inactive to Active.
Your bulletin is now ready to be displayed to your users!
Note - Once acknowledged by a user, the bulletin will no longer be displayed on that user's subsequent logins.

Pro Tips:
The Bulletin Setup & Bulletin History screens may need to be added manually to your User Group menu before you can access them.
Before activating a bulletin, check the BULLOGIN install parameter value:
Options:
ALL - Open on login if user has any bulletins.
CRIT - Open on login if user has 1+ critical bulletins.
NONE - Will not open upon login.
OFF - Bulletins will not be displayed.
To change the status of a Bulletin Setup notification, you'll need to have the following status authorizations:
To activate the bulletin:
Entity - BULS
From Status - I
To Status - A
To deactivate the bulletin:
Entity - BULS
From Status - A
To Status - I
On the Bulletin History screen, users may review their past acknowledgements.
Only their own acknowledgements are displayed (Admins may view others' acknowledgements on the Bulleting Setup screen's Acknowledged tab).
It is entirely optional to provide users with this screen.
Keep your users “in the know” with this handy new tool, and as always if you have questions or would like assistance with this configuration, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us!
