Preventative Validation Rules

In EAM, we can create EF scripts that prevent users from saving a record if certain conditions aren't met. A simple but useful example would be: “If the work order type is set to PM, then both the frequency and start date must be completed.” If those fields are left blank, the script will automatically raise an error and prevent the record from being saved.
This type of customization ensures your team follows consistent processes, improves data accuracy, and eliminates costly mistakes caused by incomplete or incorrect information. By embedding your business rules directly into EAM, you create a system that guides users to do things the right way, every time.
